Chill Vibes is a social guild first and foremost, and we expect our members to take part.
To us social means connection, collaboration, and shared experience. This is a place where people show up, participate, and build something together. With only 500 available spots in ESO, we are interested in members who actively contribute to that experience.
If you are looking for a space to quietly pass through without interaction, this guild is not the right fit for you.
Many other ESO guilds can serve that function for you.
Community Is a Shared Effort
Our guild thrives because of the people who engage with it. Engagement doesn’t mean donating gold or taking on leadership roles. It means your presence is felt. That could be through guild chat, Discord, events, or helping others. Being a part of our community means participating in it without prompting.
Opportunities Are Everywhere
If you want to engage, you’ll never lack the opportunity.
We offer:
- Regular weekly events
- Daily ad-hoc groups
- Active voice and guild chat
- Contests, scavenger hunts, and social activities
- A dedicated Discord community
There is something happening here every single day. All you have to do is jump in.
We understand it takes time to warm up to a community and feel comfortable in a new space, which is why we have many resources to support you, including a one-on-one mentorship program to help you get involved if you’re feeling nervous about engaging on your own.
The opportunities are in front of you, but it’s up to you to step into them. We don’t pull people into the spotlight, but we make sure the spotlight is always on.
Communities Are Built Together
We grow through participation.
Feedback is always welcome, especially from those who want to help build and improve the community. The strongest ideas come from members who are invested in making this space better for everyone.
What It Comes Down To
Chill Vibes is a community that thrives on:
- Initiative
- Shared responsibility
- Real engagement
If that sounds like the kind of space you want to be part of, you’ll fit right in. We’re excited to have you here.
How Silence Is Interpreted in a Community
One of the things that has caused the death of guilds and online communities in the modern era is the act of silence. How often have you been in a guild and asked for help or asked a question and received silence?
Silence, particularly when we put ourselves out there, creates detachment from our community. It makes us question if we actually belong and if anyone cares about us.
In our guild, a guildie’s question or request for help should be acknowledged. We cannot always help or answer the question, but we can still let them know they have been heard.
If you don’t know the answer to a question being posed, here are a few things you can do to make your guildie feel heard and supported:
- Amplify. Restate the guildie’s concern to give it more attention. For example: “Hey, I didn’t see anyone jump in to help Death with the quest in Glenumbra, I’m busy with x, but is anyone else available to help?” or “Hey, I’m not sure the answer to Moon’s question, does anyone else know?”
- Redirect. Provide a clear resource to help them solve their own problem. For example “Hey, I see you often asking for price checks, did you know you can download Tamriel Trade Centre and Master Merchant to get that info without having to ask? We are always happy to provide, but this might save you some time!”
- Help. If you have the capacity and know how, help directly. Go assist with some quests. Go help kill a World Boss. Jump into whispers and help a guildie solve a complex problem.
I promise you that kindness begets kindness.
